June 15, 2024
The Raritan Golf Tournament, an annual philanthropic event, hit the greens at Twin Oaks Golf Course in Blandinsville, IL on June 15, 2024. Organized by the Raritan Fire Department since 2019, this tournament raises crucial funds to support the families of combat-wounded veterans through Wounded Warriors Family Support.
This year, the community came together in full swing, raising an impressive $11,500. The funds will directly benefit veteran families, offering them much-needed support and resources.
Supporters from the surrounding towns enjoyed a day packed with exciting activities, including betting holes, 50/50 raffles, and hole prizes. Participants had the opportunity to win big, with a large raffle featuring merchandise generously donated by local sponsors. And of course, several beer carts kept spirits high throughout the event!
The tournament’s success wouldn’t have been possible without the tireless efforts of dedicated organizers. Special thanks go to Earl Waller, Harry Underwood, Kevin Magee, and the many others who have been instrumental in organizing this event over the years.
The Raritan Fire Department Golf Tournament is not just about the game; it’s about building a community of support around our nation’s heroes. By participating in this event, attendees contribute to a greater cause, making a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans and their families.
Join us next year to tee off for a terrific cause and see how you can be part of this incredible community effort. Together, we can make a tangible impact in honoring and supporting those who have given so much.
