Six Veterans Complete WWFS Welding Training Program in April

WWFS Veteran Welding Training Class Graduation April 2023

April 6, 2023

Congratulations to Greg, Matt, Benny, Jack, Cedric, and Raechel for their graduations from the April Veteran Welding Training class!!! Cedric and Raechel shared their experiences below.

WWFS’s Veterans Welding Training Program provides veterans with a unique opportunity to learn welding skills that can be applied in various industrial settings. The program offers hands-on instruction on how to use different types of welding tools and techniques, as well as safety protocols associated with working with these materials. Additionally, participants are taught about job placement opportunities available within these industries upon completion of the program. The program allows veterans to get certified while also preparing them for potential career paths they could pursue after obtaining their certifications.

The success of this program has been largely due to its collaborative efforts between UAW, Ford Motor Company, and Wounded Warriors Family Support. All three organizations have worked together diligently towards providing veterans with the proper training and support throughout their journey into becoming certified welders.
