Wounded Warriors Family Support recently gifted our family with an amazing Orlando trip. My husband, daughters, and I were able to go to Orlando for the very first time and loved it! We were so grateful to be able to stay at an amazing Universal hotel, that was so convenient to everything. My oldest daughter who is 20 was able to come join us at the beginning of the trip which was unexpected due to here being in college but I’m so glad she did. We were able to spend one on one time with her that we usually don’t get due to her busy life.
None of us had ever been to Universal Studios before so we didn’t really know what to expect. We were blown away. It was amazing. We spend time in Simpson land, Harry Potter‘s world, Beverly Hills, Jurassic Park, and of course my personal favorite the Dr. Seuss Land. We also were able to go to an animal show that my daughter fell in love with. She now wants another dog.
One the greatest things about going to Universal was my husband didn’t have to wait in the extremely long lines due to you guys, thinking of everything to make our trip a successful trip. That honestly made such a huge difference with their being so many people, it helped him to be able to relax and not have extremely high anxiety around others.
During the week we also took a trip to Legoland, which was a blast. We were surprised to see not that many people there on a Tuesday afternoon, which worked great for us. We rode roller coasters, spent time viewing the Lego cities, ate pizza, built legos and ended our day with a Lego movie. During our trip we were also able to experience a couple other places due to your generosity. We went to Crayola experience, and discovery Cove. Discovery Cove was an exciting day adventure to snorkel with all their underwater sea life including dolphins. It was an unforgettable experience.
It was a wonderful week and to see my husband happy and enjoying himself was just a bonus. We are extremely grateful for this trip that otherwise we would not of been able to take. We are so appreciative of the memories, and we can’t say thank you enough.
