Wounded Warriors Family Support will have a colorful and patriotic vehicle on display at the UAW Solidarity House during the 2024 NFL Draft Thursday through Saturday in Detroit. The 13 Heroes Ford Bronco honors the last American service members to lose their lives in Afghanistan on Aug. 26, 2021.
“We will never be able to repay the debt we owe them, but we will be forever grateful for their willingness to serve when America needed them most,” Wounded Warriors Family Support CEO and President Kate McCauley said. “This truck pays tribute and honors them, so we do not forget them. We appreciate the UAW Solidarity House’s request to display The 13 Heroes Bronco.”
The 13 Heroes Ford Bronco will be on display at the UAW Solidarity House, 8000 E. Jefferson Ave. in Detroit. The display opens Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 11 a.m.
“At Wounded Warriors Family Support, we believe in the value of our service members and are committed to honoring their dedication,” McCauley said. “Our mission is to help the families of fallen and wounded warriors. We invite you to join us in this noble cause.”
Wounded Warriors Family Support values its 10-year partnership with UAW. UAW-Ford covers expenses for the WWFS Veterans Welding Training Program, which graduated 10 veterans who completed six weeks of training and certification last month near Detroit.
