More than 200,000 veterans call greater San Antonio home, making it one of the highest per-capita veteran communities in the nation. San Antonio's economy, culture, and civic identity are shaped by military service — and WWFS has been part of that community for over two decades.
In Military City USA, WWFS ensures that no veteran family faces a financial crisis without immediate, dignified support.
San Antonio's veteran population is active, proud, and deeply networked — but financial crises don't discriminate. When a veteran family faces an unexpected medical bill, a job loss after separation, or a housing emergency, WWFS provides immediate direct assistance without the delays that make other programs hard to access.
We work alongside San Antonio's VSOs, base chaplains, and military family support programs to ensure that no family in Military City USA goes without the help they've earned through their service.
