Wounded Warriors Family Support was honored to attend the United States Strategic Command Update Luncheon, hosted by the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce. Admiral Charles A. Richard was the keynote speaker. Community leaders and entrepreneurs engaged the Admiral with questions and shared views on the importance of moving forward with modernization. After discussing current global events as they relate to U.S. Strategic Command, Adm. Richard expressed his deep appreciation for the community’s steadfast support of the Command, its mission and above all else its people – truly the essence of Nebraska character.
Admiral Charles A. Richard assumed his current duties in November 2019. As Commander, U.S. Strategic Command, he is responsible for one of 11 Unified Commands under the Department of Defense. USSTRATCOM is responsible for the global command and control of U.S. strategic forces to meet decisive national security objectives, providing a broad range of strategic capabilities and options for the President and Secretary of Defense.
Wounded Warriors Family Support is an independent nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured, or killed during combat operations. This organization is run by combat veterans for combat veterans. Rated a four-star nonprofit by Charity Navigator, Wounded Warriors Family Support aids veterans and their families in healing the wounds that medicine cannot.
